Missing entries

Before

60 customers, 3 khatas and a lot of late-night maths

  • Kept 3 paper khatas: one for customer daily entry, one for monthly bill, one for payments.
  • Spent 2-3 hours every 1st of the month tallying columns.
  • Lost roughly ₹4,000-6,000 per month to wrong or forgotten entries.
  • Customers would argue about amounts with no clean record to show them.

After

Daily entry in 8 seconds, monthly bill on WhatsApp

  • Records each customer's delivery in the app, takes 5-8 seconds per stop.
  • Monthly bill generated automatically on the 1st and sent to each customer via WhatsApp.
  • Reports show exactly who paid, who owes, and month-over-month trend.
  • Added 12 new customers in 2 months because existing ones kept recommending the app.
"Pehle roz raat 1 baje tak khaata likhta tha. Ab delivery ke time hi entry ho jata hai. Customer bhi khush, main bhi."

Before

Selling to 22 neighbours from 2 cows, tracking nothing

  • Sold milk to 22 apartment neighbours for ₹60-70/L without any record keeping.
  • Asked husband to "remember" who paid and who didn't.
  • By month-end was missing ₹2,000-3,000 in collections because entries were approximate.
  • Was about to give up and sell through a middleman at ₹40/L.

After

Direct-to-customer bill + payment tracking in one app

  • Opens app, marks each customer's delivery in 2 taps.
  • Every month the app generates a proper bill PDF with her dairy name and logo.
  • Customers pay via UPI — she marks paid in the app and sends a receipt automatically.
  • Kept the ₹25/L margin she would have lost to middlemen.
"Main IT person nahi hoon, lekin yeh app simple hai. Ab mere paas proper hisaab hai, customer pucht nahi sakta ki kitne ka bill hai."

Supplier disputes

Before

18 suppliers, 2x daily FAT-SNF readings, all on paper

  • Collected milk from 18 farmers twice a day (morning and evening).
  • Wrote FAT-SNF readings on a chit of paper and transcribed at night.
  • Monthly payout calculation took most of an entire day.
  • Farmers didn't trust the numbers because there was no paper trail per shift.

After

Shift-by-shift FAT-SNF entry, auto-calculated rates

  • Records each farmer's morning and evening entries directly in the app with FAT%, SNF% and litres.
  • App calculates per-litre rate and total automatically using the co-op formula.
  • Month-end generates a per-supplier statement PDF with all 60+ entries.
  • Farmers trust the numbers because they get a signed PDF every month.
"Kisan ab mera number dekh ke bolta hai — 'bhaiya bill bhej do'. Pehle woh roz aata tha check karne ke liye."

Before

Scaling from 40 to 120 customers, drowning in Excel sheets

  • Started with 40 subscription customers, used Google Sheets to track deliveries and payments.
  • When they hit 120 customers, Excel became unmanageable — filtering, sorting, duplicate entries.
  • Hired a part-time assistant just to enter data — cost ₹8,000/month.
  • Almost gave up on expanding further because of admin overhead.

After

Multi-user access with roles, admin handled by one person

  • Moved all customers and daily entries into DudhHisaab.
  • Added his delivery partner as a worker account — partner marks entries on his own phone.
  • Fired the data entry assistant, saved ₹8k/month.
  • Now at 180 customers and still handled solo at the admin side.
"Hamne 180 customers reach kiye hain. Excel mein yeh possible hi nahi tha."

Before

Customers in 4 different apartment complexes, 3 notebooks

  • Delivered to 85 customers spread across 4 apartment complexes.
  • Used 3 separate notebooks to avoid "mixing up" customers.
  • Every 1st of the month wrote bills by hand — 85 handwritten slips.
  • Started forgetting entries when tired — was losing 2-4% revenue every month.

After

One app, one list, one tap per customer

  • All 85 customers in one sorted list inside the app.
  • Swipes to mark delivered, amount calculated automatically.
  • Monthly bill PDF is auto-generated and sent via WhatsApp to each customer at month-end.
  • Has more time every day — now also sells ghee and paneer on weekends.
"Subah 5 baje uthta hoon, delivery shuru karta hoon, 7 baje tak sab ka hisaab ho jata hai. Pehle 9 baje tak khaata likhna padta tha."

Customer complaints

Before

Family dairy passed down from father, no digital records

  • Ran her father's 5-cow dairy, selling to 45 long-term neighbour customers.
  • When her father passed away, the paper khata was half-lost, half-illegible.
  • Had to call every customer one-by-one to reconstruct balances — awkward and embarrassing.
  • Was on the verge of shutting down.

After

Clean restart with digital records, customer balances rebuilt

  • Added each customer fresh in the app with an opening balance they agreed to.
  • Set daily delivery quantity and rate per customer once — autofill every day.
  • Customers appreciated the clean, professional bills.
  • Grew to 58 customers in 6 months on word of mouth.
"App simple hai, lekin sabse badi baat yeh hai ki ab mere paas kagaz kaat lagta hai nahi — sab phone mein hai."

About Real Stories

How we collect testimonials and protect user privacy.

Are these real stories?

Yes. Every story here is from a real DudhHisaab user we have spoken with directly. Names are shortened (last initial only) in some cases to respect privacy. The metrics, timelines, and quotes are their own. If you want to speak directly to a user before signing up, email team@dudhhisaab.com and we will connect you (with their permission).

How can I share my own story?

If you have been using DudhHisaab for at least a month and want to share what changed, reply to our onboarding WhatsApp or email team@dudhhisaab.com. We will ask for your before/after in your own words, metrics, and a quote. Published users get free Pro for 6 months.

Will my name be published?

Only with your permission, and only the way you want — full name, first name only, or initial. You can also request we use a pseudonym. We will never publish contact details or photos without explicit sign-off.

Are the metrics exaggerated?

No. We ask users for before and after numbers during a 20-minute call and cross-check with their in-app data where possible. We deliberately avoid fairy-tale numbers — most improvements are in the range of 1-3 hours saved per day and ₹2k-8k per month in recovered revenue.

Do you pay users for testimonials?

We do not pay cash, but published users get 6 months of Pro free as a thank-you. That is a ₹594 value. We believe in the product enough that we would rather give users more product than pay them for words.
