If you've been shortlisting milk management apps in India in 2026, two names keep coming up: Liter by Loopsys Technologies (the established hardware-friendly collection software), and DudhHisaab App (the new full-stack milk business app). They look similar on the Play Store. They are not the same.
This is a head-to-head. Feature by feature, screen by screen.
For broader context, see our showdown vs all 4 competitors, Top 5 buyer's guide, or the Decoding DudhHisaab review.

At a glance
| DudhHisaab | Liter | |
|---|---|---|
| Play Store package | com.dudhhisaab.app | in.liter.live |
| Built for | Mixed dairies (buy + sell) | Hardware-backed collection centres |
| Platform | Android + iPhone (PWA) | Android (+ Windows / web) |
| Pricing | Free to start, no card | Tiered (some paid features) |
| Installs (Play Store, as of Jun 2026) | Newer app — fewer installs | ~130,000 |
An honest note on ratings: DudhHisaab is a newer app, so it has far fewer Play Store ratings than an established product. We're not going to dress that up with a star number we haven't earned — judge both apps on what they actually do below, then install them and decide for yourself.
Round 1: Who is the app actually built for?
DudhHisaab is built for the typical Indian dairy — one operator who buys from farmers in the morning and sells to households in the evening. Two flows, one app.
Liter is built for collection centres that feed milk to a chilling plant. The whole interface assumes you're doing exactly that — pour, test, slip, repeat — and that you have hardware (analyser + Bluetooth printer) to back it up.
If your business is collection-only, this is a real choice. If you also sell milk to homes, Liter doesn't cover that half — DudhHisaab does.
Round 2: Suppliers (farmers you buy from)
| Feature | DudhHisaab | Liter |
|---|---|---|
| Supplier registration | Quick, with override per supplier | Full, with FAT history |
| FAT-based pricing | ✅ Native | ✅ Native (analyser-driven) |
| Fixed pricing per litre | ✅ | ✅ |
| Photo OCR for analyser slip | ✅ | ❌ (Bluetooth instead) |
| Bluetooth analyser integration | Roadmap | ✅ |
| Per-supplier rate override | ✅ | ✅ |
| Monthly statement PDF | ✅ Branded | Limited |
Verdict: Liter is slightly stronger if you've already invested in analyser hardware. DudhHisaab wins on flexibility and statement quality.
Round 3: Customers (households / shops you sell to)
| Feature | DudhHisaab | Liter |
|---|---|---|
| Customer module | ✅ Native | ❌ Not supported |
| Daily slip PDF | ✅ | n/a |
| Monthly bill PDF | ✅ Branded | n/a |
| WhatsApp share | ✅ | n/a |
Verdict: Liter has nothing here. If your dairy sells milk to homes, you'd need a second app on top of Liter — or just use DudhHisaab.
Round 4: Hardware
| DudhHisaab | Liter | |
|---|---|---|
| Works without analyser | ✅ Fully | Limited features |
| Works without printer | ✅ Fully | Limited features |
| Photo OCR alternative | ✅ | ❌ |
| Bluetooth printer | Roadmap | ✅ |
| Bluetooth analyser | Roadmap | ✅ |
Verdict: If you've already bought ₹40k–₹80k of analyser + printer hardware, Liter uses every bit of it. If you're a typical dairy with just a phone, DudhHisaab gets you 95% of the value with no hardware.
Round 5: Statements and bills
| DudhHisaab | Liter | |
|---|---|---|
| Branded PDF statements | ✅ | Limited |
| Daily slips | PDF or screen | Thermal print |
| Reconciliation reports | ✅ | ✅ (centre-focused) |
| Customer bills | ✅ | ❌ |
Verdict: Liter does paper slips well. DudhHisaab does PDFs better — and PDFs travel further (WhatsApp, email) than thermal slips.
Round 6: Languages
| DudhHisaab | Liter | |
|---|---|---|
| English | ✅ | ✅ |
| Hindi | ✅ Full, including PDFs | Limited |
| Marathi | Roadmap | Limited |
Verdict: DudhHisaab. Hindi is first-class everywhere; Liter is English-leaning.
Round 7: Platform reach
| DudhHisaab | Liter | |
|---|---|---|
| Android | ✅ (PWA + native install) | ✅ |
| iPhone | ✅ (PWA) | ❌ |
| Low-end phones | ✅ | Heavier |
| Storage footprint | ~2 MB (PWA) | 50+ MB |
Verdict: DudhHisaab — only one of the two that runs on iPhone or a 2 GB-RAM Android.
Round 8: Updates and support
| DudhHisaab | Liter | |
|---|---|---|
| Update frequency | Monthly+ | Quarterly |
| Public roadmap | ✅ | Limited |
| In-app feedback | ✅ | |
| WhatsApp support | ✅ | ❌ |
Final scorecard
| Category | Winner |
|---|---|
| Suppliers | Tie (Liter for hardware, DudhHisaab for flexibility) |
| Customers | DudhHisaab (Liter doesn't compete here) |
| Statements | DudhHisaab |
| Hardware integration | Liter |
| Languages | DudhHisaab |
| Platform reach | DudhHisaab |
| Updates & support | DudhHisaab |
Tally: DudhHisaab 5, Liter 1, ties 1.
When Liter is still the right choice
We're not here to dismiss Liter. It's a strong product. Pick Liter if all three are true:
- You run only a collection centre (no household sales).
- You already own (or are about to buy) milk-analyser + Bluetooth-printer hardware.
- You feed a chilling plant and need their format of bulk reports.
In that exact configuration, Liter is excellent.
When DudhHisaab wins
For everything else — and that's most Indian dairies — DudhHisaab is the safer, faster, more complete choice. It runs on any phone, supports both sides of the business, generates customer-facing PDFs, and works in Hindi.
